Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator
Project Description / Challenge
This website was very 1999 when we first laid eyes on it. User interaction was hindered by a difficult interface. And the structure was not suitable for different resolution requirements for different devices. Not to mention the design.
Firstly, we followed the client’s lead by updating the design. A good design improves user experience. Bringing Dave’s Garden into this decade resulted in improved useability and interactivity, including a component for viewing photos (a pop-up with a wiki). With a streamline of steps, user interaction became simpler and more intuitive. The design we created allowed users to view other users, view photos, tag photos, as well as upload and edit photos across the site. Talk about interaction!
How we worked with the client
The client sends us schematics, but we also offer our design ideas and solutions in addition to what is asked of us. We get special satisfaction when a client accepts a design which was not a part of their original concept. Two-way communication also allows us to integrate and learn new design components from our clients, as well. When you are committed to excellence and match a client’s style…design is an extension of this synergy.Back to portfolio
